The Granite Bowl
Elbert County Comprehensive High
Elberton

(Top two: Thanks to Joel Bond; Bottow four: Thanks to Brian Jossey)

Tradition's note: The Granite Bowl has been selected as the most unique place to have a high school football game. The scoreboard was originally installed at UGA's Sanford Stadium. Brian tells us that the Bowl was originally built in 1954 entirely by volunteers, seats 20,000, and has never been filled.

Bruce Tawney from Monroeville, Pennsylvania, provided us with this link to a history of The Granite Bowl.
