Rather than clutter up the home page with the details of what I need to create an image, I thought I would add a separate page so I could go into detail a little more on what I need. The helmets on the site with a question mark,
indicates I have no information for that team. As you can see, there are quite a few. First of all, the most ideal way to do these helmets are from an actual decal. One before it is applied to the helmet. (Example)
It is the best way to create a sharp clear image. Simply scan the logo and send the digital picture of it to me via email along with the colors of the helmet, facemask, and stripes if any and their orientation, (Example)
If an actual decal cannot be obtained, then a copy of the logo from a school publication such as a program, annual, letterhead, etc. Doesn't matter if it's black and white as long as I know the actual colors.
The more difficult way of doing it is from a photograph. I can create a helmet image this way as long as it is a close up shot of the logo as it appears on the helmet. (Example)
Notice the orientation of the helmets on the site, (facing left), the photo's need to be taken from that side also. The reason is that the curve in the helmet distorts the logo to the point where I can't extract the image off the helmet and "turn" it around. Please make sure when you take the photo that the chin strap is not covering any of the logo. Also, if you use a flash on your camera, please take into consideration that the flash will "wash out" the logo (Example)
if it's taken at a certain angle. The ideal picture would be one taken outside so a flash wouldn't have to be used. A picture from the front showing the stripes, if any, and facemask would be nice too.(Example)
I can also do an image from a description if it is one that I can compare another helmet too. What I mean is, for example, you tell me your teams helmet is exactly like the Michigan Wolverines, except the helmet is orange and logo is blue. All I need to know besides that is what color blue or orange is used. I have templates of the most popular designs, tiger paws, wolverines, diamonds, etc. Just the color scheme would be all that I would need, except in the case of the diamonds. Most of the time, the schools initials are inside the diamond. I would need to know that, plus what style of text is used for the initials. If you folks can help me out, I can get your helmet posted in pretty short order once I get the info. I'll be looking forward to hearing from ya. Thanks
